Proposals are invited for presentations at the University Research Conference ‘Research Reflections’ to be held at York St John University on 8 September 2017. The purpose of the conference is to showcase our research and explore new research directions across our university. There will be plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues, learn about research projects and themes across the University, make new research connections, and consider intra-institutional research collaborations. We expect an experienced academic from a Humanities subject area to give a keynote on how to build up a track record for external funding.

We welcome all staff and postgraduate research students to present their work in sessions or as posters.

Please note: presentations should be no longer than 20 minutes.

Proposals are particularly welcome from (but not limited to) the following:

  • Internally or externally funded projects
  • Collaborative projects (both inter-institutional and intra-institutional)
  • Associate Professors and Professors
  • Early career researchers
  • Postgraduate research students

A short abstract (250-300 words) of a presentation or a brief description of a poster (100 words) should be sent to Dr Victoria Carpenter (v.carpenter@yorksj.ac.uk) by 30 June 2017. The contributors will be notified of the results of their submissions by 21 July 2017.

We are looking forward to a full day of presentations, workshops, and discussions about current and future research.
