The Dynamics of Sexual Violence and Abuse: Local, National and International Perspectives

Following the success of our first Annual Conference in June 2015, we are pleased to announce that the second NCSPVA Annual Conference will take place on 7th June 2016.

This one day conference will consist of keynote lectures, themed parallel sessions of individual oral papers, and poster presentations. There will also be opportunities for networking. Confirmed speakers so far include:

Donald FindlaterDirector of Research and Development with the child protection charity, Lucy Faithfull Foundation (LFF) will present an assessment tool that he has developed to help prevent child sexual abuse across the globe.

His Honour Toby Hooper QCJudge Hooper worked from 1973 as a barrister and from 2000 as a QC before working as a Circuit Judge from 2007 to 2016. He will present on Criminal Justice System Reponses to Sexual Violence and Abuse and if they are working.

Dianne Whitfield – Co-Chair of Rape Crisis England and Wales (RCEW), and is the Chief Officer of Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (CRASAC) – one of the largest Rape Crisis centres in the country. 

We are delighted to announce that this year’s Lynda Bellingham Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Duncan Craig, Chief Executive Officer of Survivors Manchester.
