Six PhD Studentships, and four fees only bursaries

The University of Cumbria is currently offering research studentships including Full and Fees only bursaries across a number of subject areas. Successful applicants to full-time studentships will receive a stipend of £13,863 p.a. in addition to covering tuition fees.

The PhD Studentships are available to new UK/EU applicants registering for a research degree in the relevant subject starting in January 2016. The closing date for applications is 30th September 2015. Interviews will be during October and early November 2015.

Full studentships will be considered on a case-by-case basis and can support part-time research; however, priority will be given to those applying for full-time study. Applications for fees only bursaries will be accepted for part-time or full-time study.

The University of Cumbria excelled in the UK-wide Research Excellence Framework (REF) with results announced in December 2014 revealing that 80% of our research is rated as internationally recognised quality or higher and 7% classified as ‘world-leading’.

Lancaster University currently awards our research degrees.
