This workshop is intended to provide participants with an understanding of the challenges of setting boundaries when working with learning disabled sex offenders. We will go on to identify strategies for ensuring that boundaries are developed and maintained in a safe and appropriate way.

This workshop is aimed at support staff working with learning disabled sex offenders, who would benefit from specialist training in the area of developing and implementing boundaries. Training takes place over one day and the main objectives are to:

  • Develop trainees’ understanding of the importance of boundaries
  • Develop strategies to develop and implement boundaries in the workplace
  • Identify the challenges that may threaten boundaries and consider ways in which to deal with these

Case studies will be used throughout the session and participants are encouraged to bring along their own examples of challenging scenarios in order that these can be explored within the session.

A certificate of attendance will be awarded at the end of the workshop.
