Call for Applications for Home/EU PhD Studentships (2014-15) to commence February 2015

Newman University aspires to be recognised regionally, nationally and internationally for the quality of its research and scholarship. As part of the University’s continued commitment to supporting the most promising students to undertake in depth postgraduate research, applications are invited for three fully-funded PhD Studentships for 3 years (full-time) for UK or EU students. The studentship includes a subsistence grant in line with the recommendations of the UK research Councils (£13,863 p.a. for 2014-15) with all fees paid. Further Home/EU PhD Studentships are expected to be available to commence in October 2015.

The University supports nationally and internationally recognised research across a broad range of disciplines (predominantly Sport, Psychology, Education and the Humanities) and applications are welcome in any of these areas. Details of the core research interests and supervision areas can be found at the Newman University website.

Interested applicants may wish to discuss their ideas with a potential supervisor and should consult the information on staff research in the University’s academic subjects on the Newman website.
