Managing part-time doctoral study

A one-day event for part-time PhD students.

Mon 24th June 2013, Woburn House, London

Convened by Dr Pauline Couper & Dr Julie Evans, University of St Mark & St John, in association with CREST and funded by the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education

This free event is part of a small research project which aims to develop greater understanding of the experiences and needs of part-time PhD students, and the ways in which institutions could better support them. The day provides an opportunity for part-time PhD students to:

· Meet other part-time PhD students;

· Hear a summary of the findings from the questionnaire and interview phases of the research project;

· Have input into recommendations for Universities supporting part-time PhD students;

· Develop ideas for managing their own doctoral experience.
