The role of design in society, particularly in relation to STEM: ‘translating cultures’

Focusing on design-led research skills, knowledge and understanding with cross-disciplinary applicability this one day workshop, part of a series of AHRC-funded events comprising the Design as Human Interface series, will incorporate creative economy leadership training for postgraduate students, Doctoral students and early-career researchers at UCA, NUCA and CREST institutions. Workshop 3 will examine:

Design as human interface (industrial, user-centred and sustainable design)

Emerging paradigms and languages in different disciplines, natural sciences / use of terminology: translating culture and sharing languages

Post-disciplinary work and its impact on the disciplines, expertise and on current and future professional pathways, identities and their institutional circuits
