Experiential learning, embodied knowledge and the politics of research

Focusing on design-led research skills, knowledge and understanding with cross-disciplinary applicability this one day workshop, part of a series of AHRC-funded events comprising the Design as Human Interface series, will incorporate creative economy leadership training for postgraduate students, Doctoral students and early-career researchers at UCA, NUCA and CREST institutions. Workshop 2 will examine:

  • The role of the human sensorium in design and cognate areas
  • The role of tacit knowledge and strategies for communicating, translating and applying it
  • The social construction of reality (and its creative sibling)
  •  Semiotics, ideology and critical discourse
