The 2014 Science Communication Conference will take place on Thursday 1 & Friday 2 May at the University of Surrey.

This two day event is the only cross-sector conference, bringing together people from across the science communication field. Over 400 people usually attend the conference, including both seasoned science communicators and those who are new to the sector. Representatives from science centres, festivals, research councils, universities, learned societies, charities as well as freelancers and small consultancies enjoy networking among the variety of delegates attending.

The British Science Association’s Science in Society team organises the Conference in partnership with the Wellcome Trust.

Aims of the Conference

  • Address the key issues facing science communicators across sectors
  • Bringing together the diverse group of people involved in public engagement: universities, charities, science centres, learned societies, science festivals, science policymakers, science media, etc.
  • Share ideas
  • Learn about best practice and new developments
