Ravensbourne is collaborating with Cerfav, a glass production training facility and fablab, on bringing an amazing glass city model to London.

The glass model created by Helene Varin is coming over to first be part of Future Fest, and will then be coming to Ravensbourne for a series of evening events.

From Monday 30th September to Friday 25th October, the piece will be displayed in Ravensbourne’s reception.

A series of evening events and talks will accompany the display, including a showcase by our subject leader for architecture, Layton Reid, as well as a session focused on interaction design, with Evan Raskob, and a range of other designers exploring how they could augment and work with the artwork.

What is FutureFest?

Some of the planet’s most radical thinkers, makers and performers are gathering in East London this September to create an immersive experience of what the world will feel like over the next few decades.

From the bright and uplifting to the dark and dystopian, FutureFest will present a weekend of compelling talks, cutting-edge shows, and interactive performances that will inspire and challenge us to change the future.

The events will centre around Shoreditch Town Hall, east London, on 28 and 29 September 2013, split into four sessions.

Details and times of sessions are subject to change. Check the FutureFest website for the latest information
