Focusing on design-led research skills, knowledge and understanding with cross-disciplinary applicability this one day workshop, part of a series of AHRC-funded events comprising the Design as Human Interface series, will incorporate creative economy leadership training for postgraduate students, Doctoral students and early-career researchers at UCA, NUCA and CREST institutions. Workshop 1 will examine:

The use of photography, audio-recordings and audio-visual document/ation in research (found, researcher and user generated material)

How can research related information be effectively logged and safely stored?

How is audio-visual information justified as appropriate research evidence?

How can still and moving images and sound be used in research and what are the respective ethical implications?

Critical reflection on research methods employing media
