Tuning in to Dementia: Music, Memory and Daily Living

This dissemination event will deliver the findings of Memory Tracks’ study into the impact of memorable songs connected to daily tasks to help those living with cognitive impairment, such as dementia. The project team have completed their initial research in two care homes in Wales. The event will offer provide a brief summary of this study as well as an opportunity for discussion and networking. Light refreshments will be provided.

Memory Tracks is a project that aims to assist cognition, reduce agitation, improve the quality of life and enable more independent living. The research is supported by funding from CREST (Consortium for Research Excellence, Support and Training). The research team includes academics from University for The Creative Arts, Glyndwr University and Manchester Metropolitan University working with Memory Tracks and Pendine Park Care Organisation.
