Power Hour of Writing sessions with the Doctoral Training Alliance

We are very excited to have partnered with University Alliance and their Doctoral Training Alliance (DTA) to offer you online writing sessions for the month of November!DTA’s Power Hour of Writing sessions run twice a week on Teams: every Tuesday (from 3:00 to 4:00 pm) and Friday (from 10:00 to 11:00 am). These are drop-in sessions and registration is not required.

DTA PHOW sessions aim to foster a sense of community among researchers. At the start of the session for the first five minutes, participants briefly introduce themselves and share their writing objectives for the hour. Afterwards, everyone works on their thesis and in the last five minutes, everyone shares their progress. The Power Hour technique is all about focus, discipline, and being free from distractions. This is to supplement the work PGRs are already doing and to create an online community where we can all read/ write individually yet together. PGRs from all stages of their PhD are welcome to attend. Contact us at ellen.graves@guildhe.ac.uk for the access links

We will also be sharing tips and talking about writing across the month over on our LinkedIn, so please give us a follow to check that out! It will be a really great way to engage with other PGRs in our community, learn more about how to approach your writing, and get motivated!
