The inaugural CREST Summer School will take place from 8th to 9th September. The Summer School will be open to research students and early career researchers from CREST members institutions.

The CREST SUMMER SCHOOL will be a great opportunity for researchers to:

  • Focus on your own professional development as a researcher in the collegial company of your peers from across a wide range of Universities and specialist Colleges;
  • Meet and engage with experts representing some of the UKs most renowned national research resources, as well as get a behind-the-scenes visit to Wellcome Trust and British Library;
  • Get an insight into some key areas of development and their policy context to equip you on your researcher career journey;
  • Leave with a spring in your step and the motivation to explore specific areas of development in more detail with research supervisors and colleagues, through CREST and through engagement with partners operating in the broader knowledge economy.

The Summer School will be enjoyable, purposeful and conducted in a relaxed collegial atmosphere of Woburn House in Central London.  All of the activities have been mapped onto Vitae’s Researcher Development Framework and we will make full use of the Researcher Development Planner as part of the reflexive element of this Summer School.

Spaces at the Summer School are limited in order to encourage in-depth, substantive conversations about research and research skills.

Registration for the Summer School has now closed; however, if you are a representative of a CREST Member institution, and have any questions about the Summer School, please email the Research Network Coordinator (alisa.miller@guildhe.ac.uk). Click on the link below to view the Programme:
