Person Specification

The position would suit a graduate who is currently coming to the conclusion of or has recently completed postgraduate research, and is looking to gain experience in higher education research and innovation policy and administration, in particular with respect to research skills and training.

The role is an ideal stepping stone for roles in research management and administration or policy fields; however it also provides excellent networking opportunities with a wide range of institutions and research bodies, an opportunity to use creative thinking to devise and develop interesting events and activities, and the chance to work on a unique, trail blazing project in research data management.

The appointee would need to be self-motivated and organised, a confident communicator, personable and able to relate to a wide range of people including senior stakeholders in institutions, willing to learn, and capable of working flexibly to support the GuildHE team and office. Excellent ICT and administrative skills and previous relevant work experience would be an advantage.

The role would be based at the GuildHE offices in central  London and some travel to Member institutions would be required from time to time; however, some remote working would be possible if this was desirable.
