What is the event?

Research Institutions recognise the value of mentoring to develop their research staff professionally and personally, but often have difficulty implementing effective mentoring systems and training.

This one day workshop, delivered by Cloud Chamber, will cover the benefits of mentoring, how to set systems up, and deliver basic mentoring training.

It will explore what mentoring is, different approaches to mentoring and what the benefits can be for those involved and for institutions. The practicalities of running a mentoring scheme including recruiting and matching staff will be covered with the day concluding with an opportunity to trouble shoot challenges and mentoring issues linked to your own institution.
