The postgraduate and early-career research conference at York St John University is an excellent opportunity to present your research in a supportive, friendly environment, and to build networks with other researchers at a similar stage of their career. There will also be keynote presentations from leading academics (to be announced).

The conference is broadly themed around, but are not limited to, Social Justice and Public Engagement, and topics could include:

  • Ethics in research
  • Action research / working with marginalised groups
  • The use of social media & the internet in communicating research
  • Public engagement events
  • Presenting research in innovative ways (beyond academic publishing)
  •        Changing the public conversation

Etc (i.e. – you can interpret the themes broadly!)

Contributions are invited from across all disciplines and can include papers, symposia and posters as well as more innovative dissemination methods such as the ‘3-minute thesis’ (3MT) challenge.

Please send abstracts of up to 250 words by 15 November 2017 to the conference organisers at e.anderson1@yorksj.ac.uk indicating what submission type you would prefer (paper, poster, symposia, 3MT)
