The University of Worcester in collaboration with CREST will be hosting a Research Funders Event on Thursday 24 October 2013.

This is a full day event consisting of presentations from funding experts on current policy and strategy and from colleagues who will share their experiences of how they successfully secured funding for their research.

  • Lisa Bungeroth, Policy Officer – European Research, UK HE International Unit https://www.international.ac.uk/about/who-we-are/policy-team.aspx#lisa
  • Dr Russ Bromley, KTP Regional Adviser  North & West Midlands
  • Professor Elizabeth Peel, Professor of Psychology & Social Change, University of Worcester Liz will take about her experiences with the Small Grants Scheme and the Mid-Career Fellowship Scheme from the British Academy
  • Professor Stephen Parker, Professor of the History of Religion and Education, University of Worcester. Stephen will talk about his experience in applying for and being awarded a Research Project Grant from the Leverhulme Trust
  • Professor Suzanne Schwarz, Professor of History, University of Worcester. Suzanne will share her experience of being awarded a Leverhulme Research Fellowship in 2012
  • Sasha Leigh, Knowledge and Innovation Manager from the Natural Environment Research Council

This event is free of charge and open to staff from HEIs who are interested in research funding.
