A new event for hedgehog carers/rehabilitators, vets, students, and researchers.

A full day of talks, discussions and practical training sessions in the Gloucestershire countryside. The programme will provide an opportunity for those with lots of experience, or very little, to share their experience, learn from others, and discuss the latest research affecting care of the nation’s favourite mammal.

Tickets (£25) include refreshments and lunch, plus all practical sessions. Car parking is available onsite, free of charge. A free minibus transfer can be provided from Gloucester Railway Station for those using public transport. Dietary requirements can be accommodated, although please do specify, along with any access requirements, at the time of booking.

Speakers will include:

  • Liz Mullineaux (Secret World Wildlife Rescue)
  • Nigel Reeve
  • Deborah Wright
  • Alex Barlow
  • Martyn Wood

Talks will include an update on research in relation to worming of hedgehogs, the status of the wild population, collaborative projects between rehabilitators and the Garden Wildlife Health Survey.

We’re so pleased to be organising this event with the British Wildlife Rehabilitation Council, and to have the British Hedgehog Preservation Society as a sponsor. We hope it will be a useful opportunity for hedgehog rehabilitators to join us to share their experiences.

All bookings can be made through the online shop (please note, this link will take you to our external shop).
